Intersectional and Inter-generational Feminist Conference, Richmond 4/10-12/2015

Virginia NOW extends an invitation to the members of your program to join us at our first annual young feminists conference.
 
We believe that a crucial intersection in our feminism is the that between academic and activist feminists. VA NOW Young Feminists Conference 2015
 
The Virginia Chapter of the National Organization for Women, working for the political and social equality and advancement of all women, will 
host a three day conference on subjects vital to the advocacy and organizing communities. 
 
Opening with a social gathering the evening of April 10, 2015 the conference will explore: running for office against a glass ceiling, the diversity of queer politics, dismantling privilege introduction to direct local action, cultural competency in a globalized country, effective issue advocacy, better housing/homelessness policy, mental health, and the impact of violence. 
 
Closing Sunday afternoon on April 12. 1015, the conference will conclude with community conversations on: being a mom and a feminist, disability justice, and more effective anti-poverty policy. 
 
Attendees may register for one, two, or all three days of the conference. 
The registration fee for undergraduate and graduate students with valid I.D. for the whole conference is $35. To register, click here.
