New course announced : College Sexuality

In the Spring 2015 semester Dr. Brooke DiSipio will be teaching a WGSS course called “College Sexuality":  "The class is going to explore two different topics in particular.  We are going to look at sexual identity development; how college students, in this developmental stage of their life, are developing their sexual identity.  We will use identity theories to explore how those sexual identities are developed. We are also going to look at the college campus environment. We will look at the hook-up culture and gender violence on college campuses.  We will examine how different social norms, behaviors, attitudes and practices influence the types of sexual behaviors college students are currently engaging."
