VIRTUAL
Faculty Research Forum: The Creative Resilience of Patriarchy
Michael Kramp
Professor of English
Director, Lehigh Humanities Lab
“Patriarchy's Creative Resilience” is Professor Kramp’s introductory frame to a larger project that details the creative failure of late-Victorian speculative fiction to imagine non-patriarchal masculinity. While he identifies a failure, his work also points to an imaginative success, one which we prefer to dismiss as normalized history: the remarkable sustainability of patriarchy.
